Urban Deer

The fields adjacent to and immediately south of Gosforth Park NR are the nearest open farmland to the city centre. Its just 2 mile to Northumberland Street. So I find it surprising that Roe Deer frequent it in significant numbers so often.
This one was inside Gosforth Park NR

and these are in the fields referred to above

Nice pics.
I often see the deer as I pass the fields traveling from Killingworth.
I've not seen any deer on patch but I remember speaking to someone a while ago who had seen a Roe Deer, early morning, in the area behind Killingworth village, presumably having come from Gosforth Park. I've not been into the reserve for sometime, so must pay a visit soon. Cheers. Brian.

I think you are correct Brian, that they are from Gosforth Park. Don't know how many they are but I dont think I have ever walked around and not seen any.
