First sightings

This afternoon had a walk along the Tyne near Newburn and although the sun did not shine I was pleased to spot a couple of Small Heath Butterfly. My first of the year and additions to My Quest

as well as a single Large Skipper.

I was surprised to see quite a few Common Darter and Azure Damselfly.
This one freshly emerged
