Whittle Wagtails

Had myself a visit to Whittle Dene this evening to see what Wagtails may be present.
Plenty of Pied Wagtail, a few Grey Wagtail, and these Yellow charmers.

They were to be found around the overflow channel running beside the road which leading from the x-roads, signposted to Stamfordham.

Good Pics Dick.

Only managed 1 there last time I was there but thanks for the directions which I will use when I am there on Sunday. Watched 7 Grey Wagtails flying around the Derwent this morning but have still to see a Yellow there.

Hi John,
I was intent on driving staight past having seen nothing of note beside the reservoirs but by chance just caught sight of the first.
A bit of patience was rewarded as they came and went. Good luck
