St. Mary's Sanderling

Between Christmas and New Year we managed to fit in a quick visit to St. Mary's Island. We were lucky enough to see a good variety and number of birds but the highlight for me were the dozen or so Sanderling scurrying back and forward as the water lapped up the beach. Cracking birds.
